Hello from Texas. My mother and I love to go thrifting as a hobby, and we find interesting things from time to time. We dabble in reselling, but very small-time. We do both like to collect far too many things! I love aviation and aerospace stuff, various types of geeky items, vintage leather bags, and whatever unusual things that catch my eye. Stay warm out there, and good hunting all.

    Thanks, everyone, for the welcomes!

Very cool! A real family enterprise. Keep 'em flyin'! I have found a few Texas specific things, but I'm on the wrong side of Houston, I think. I have been meaning to get down around Clear Lake to do some thrifting in hopes of finding more NASA-related items. My favorite find so far has been this cool mug that must have been given out to folks working on a particular project. Still kicking myself because there were two and I only bought one. It lives on my desk and holds pens.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Hi, @FlyinJenny , and Welcome to Antiquers!

I did a search and found out that the SR & QA on your mug stands for NASA's Safety, Reliability, and Quality Assurance office. Not sure whether that is a current name for that office or not. I saw references to it from the 1990s.

Welcome! I have a wonderful picture of an aviatrix on her first solo flight in 1929, I will have to dig up an image to show you :)

Welcome Flyin' Jenny! As a subset of my old book collection, I collect pre-1910 aviation paper (mags, books, manuals, etc). I call it a passion, others call it an obsession.
