these stoneware deer, any idea where and when they were made?

about 10" high and 8" long

 

They look like fairings. I'd guess continental.

Items made on a piecework basis, for sale (or maybe prizes) at fairs, flea markets, bargain basements. Most likely antique. My guess is European, but where in Europe I don't know.
