Featured Strange Tea Pot

    My grandma showed me this cool tea pot she is thinking about selling. (I’m helping her downsize)

    I’m seeing them called puzzle pot. I guess the handle and spout are the Great Wall.

    Maybe @Ce BCA knows about it.

    Yes it's a Chinese puzzle teapot, it says 吉祥如意 (good luck) on the side. I think this is a reproduction though as they still seem to be available from Chinese suppliers.

    That’s really neat! Thank you for translating that for me.

    it was gifted to my grandparents several years ago when they lived in Boise, ID. One of their neighbors was an antique dealer, and he gave it to them as a gift. I assumed that meant it was authentic, but maybe I would need to have it appraised. Could you tell what the red mark on the bottom might say?
