My "pirate ship" painting by W.E Ryan

    Wondering if anyone has information on this artist? As shown in the pictures, its signed W.E Ryan and dated 49. I like it as it looks like a pirate ship and I am a huge fan of the POTC movies and the ride.

    Google brings up several of his works

    I googled and found him, but this would make him 13 years old when this was done (I think), but the signatures I saw did not match the ones on this painting.

    Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

    There seem to be lots of similar copies, with a variety of signatures. This etsy listing says that the one they were selling, which appears to be signed "V. Langan '56" is "after O.H. Manzer" (Owen Henry Manzer, they say). In a quick search I found no artist with that name.     I've found several places prints saying by Richard Dey de Ribcowsky but do not know if that is correct.
