Signature looks like Phyllis Sussman - but I can't find another example of my 'Sails'?

This is another piece I found at local thrift store yesterday; I saw the colors & grabbed it just as it was unloaded from the truck!

I am pretty sure the signature on this is P Sussman (Phyllis Sussman) - it looks like her signature & the pastel(?) color/style looks like her other works, but I cannot find another example of "Sails" by P Sussman; even though there should be at least 250 copies according to my print?

There is a label on the back that says it's from/ or was framed at The Metropolitan Gallery of Fine Art, inc. - googling that I first saw the Metropolitain Museum of Art and thought I'd hit a home run(!) - but finally realized it was Gallery of art not museum of art!

Researching the gallery filed for it's license in 1977 & they went out of business/was declared inactive as a business in 1986.

    Is this by Phyllis Sussman?
Maybe she did a special edition for the gallery? But wouldn't there be a least a couple on the secondary market? (I can't find another)
Because if it is by her & there are so few around - maybe I hit a small home run?
Can anyone find another copy of Sails?

    Thanks you!

Looks like her work. Looks like her signature. The edition was only 250. Not surprising your not finding others on internet.

As long as it's hers I'm happy; should sell easily

Yes. It's attractive and a popular type of scene. She was only 52 when she died. Pity.

Looking her up I came across a lot of similar art by a Patricia Sussman - are they the same person using a different name (a pseudonym)?
