    Hello fellow Antiquers.
I snagged these little prints from my local goodwill for $5.00 for the pair so no big deal if they aren't worth a whole lot. lol.

The first one I am pretty sure it is by Paul Frederick Berdanier
1879-1961. An Etching 6" x 4" titled Setters.Framed by Transart Industries, With a sticker on the back reads Antique engraving Hand struck.

The second one I am not sure who the artist is and could use some help with the signature.
Etching is 9" x 10". has A sticker on the back for Bruners Santa Rosa Ca. @Drew posted a thread about this company a while back. Thought you might like to see this.
Both have been re-framed by these companies. The frames don't appear to be older than say 1960's?
Any thoughts and information appreciated as always, thank you.

Signature of second looks like "Frohr" to my eye (but I don't think that's right.) Bruner's, label is pre-1963 from state abbreviation. Can't read address on first one but it appears to have a zip code which would put it post-1963.

    Thanks @Debora and @moreotherstuff .
I didn't find a Frohr? But I like this one because of the ship! Will go nicely with my ship prints. I'm sure I can recover my cost with the Berdanier?

I would think generously so. Maybe you can find sold prices online, or prices for comparable Berdanier prints, or comparable animalier prints?

I have only found a few with ducks but no dogs yet. That's a good sign as to rarity right?
Ebay has some etchings but nothing sold?

I doubt that rarity is going to be an issue on this. There's lots of etchings of dogs out there - maybe search for pointer/setter/hunting dogs to find similar and see what they sell for.

As for the second one. @Lithographer or any one else can identify the sig?

If I had to guess, East coast US. Probably Boston Harbor? But it could be anywhere!

I am thinking the etching of the dogs might be a posthumous print. Based on when the artist was alive it looks too new. His early prints mostly seemed to be signed. The other print looks European to me, based on the scene, name and writing style. I like them both and you got a great deal.

Can you make out the name on the boat? It's almost legible on the photos but not quite so might be readable 'in the flesh'. I'd assumed this was an American location - there's a very distinctive church overlooking the harbour with a dome, copper-domed belltower and frighteningly long weather vane. Must be traceable but I don't think Boston.

I puzzled over the location of the harbor scene too. Conclusion? As they say in Spanish... ni idea.

    I read it as Habilet?

Never mind it does say Hamlet.
    Good job @Lithographer

I was wondering about it being so clean and newer looking.
    Thanks for answering.
