These 2 metal Tumblers are 4 inch High They were made in 1974 and have an iradescence to them. They have markings on the bottom that I sent photos of.They were given out as gifts to an occasion from sabodhbhan & Shah.
I test them and they seem to be silver but am not sure. I am wondering if the markings on the bottom tell what the tumblers are made of
    Thanks a1.jpg a2.jpg a3.jpg a4.jpg A5.jpg a6.jpg

I think it is silverplate, which often tests as silver. I don't know the mark though.

The Mark looks like “B.S” over “T.100”.
I vaguely remember Cheryl saying T.100 was used in India and Colombia.

Had what "function?" Where were they located? What business were they in? When?

Hehe, so close - 'India and Cambodia'...

These are Indian silver water/milk glasses, similar produced in nickel silver, silverplate, and solid silver of various quality - the fineness stated not always accurate, but they are likely silver (should be more suspicious of Cambodian stamps).

Steve what does the inscription say on the side? I don’t think my eyes deceive me that there’s writing? I think I can read the word “from”…?

Sorry for butting in (this is one confusing thread !)

I think the writing on the side is the aforementioned ** from sabodhbhan & Shah.**
