I recently won a 3 piece set of jewelry

on ebay. It was listed as porcelain. Actually it is dendritic, white agate in ornate, matching, silver settings. I was unable to find any markings. I believe they are silver but not high grade. Of note is that all links are soldered. The two neck arms of the necklace are bendable but stiff and I would think uncomfortable to the wearer. I did put the earrings in my ultrasonic cleaner and the did turn beautiful, light gold color.

What a lovely set. I like 'em! Unfortunately, I've not seen the style before to even guess at origin. With so much work involved, I would not be shocked if they were silver :)

Those torc styles are actually quite comfortable. My first thought is Turkish or Macedonian. @Any Jewelry ?

My first reaction was Turkish too, with all that wirework. I'd bet on .800 silver or similar.

No markings on the pieces. No one can say where they were made.

It's entirely possible to say where something was made, even if unmarked.

Lovely set, Gus. The style is modern Armenian, they often combine traditional filigree with chunky agates.
Armenian means it could also have been made in Turkey or Iran, both countries have important Armenian communities. But I think these are from the country Armenia, not very old, but elegant.
Actually I prefer this type, because once adjusted to your neck it distributes the weight better, so more comfortable for arthritic necks.;)

Absolutely. You just have to know your styles, and both you and @evelyb30 recognized the region.
And there is no way this was going to be from "Malta,Egypt,Brazil,Mexico,United States".

The above movie-'My Name Is Nobody',is one of the better Leone/Eastwood knockoffs, homages.

It is a fun movie. No Clint Eastwood though, Nobody is played by Terence Hill (Mario Girotti). Henry Fonda also played a major role. If I remember correctly, he is the old gunslinger Nobody wants to fight to make a name for himself.

Thanks to all of you for your input. I did not think that they were very old as I don't see any wear to speak of. I do think that they might be 800 silver or somewhere in that neighborhood. Turkish/ Macedonian/Armenian seems most apt.:)

The style is not Macedonian in any way. They make stunning filigree in the Balkans, and use stones as well, but not like this.

As I said, it is Armenian. The outer shape of the filigree is classic Armenian.
Many jewellery techniques we regard as Ottoman were introduced to neighbouring nations by the Armenians. They have always been an important factor in Eastern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern jewellery making.
Adding large agates is something that began in Armenia, the country. I am not sure it spread to other Armenian communities, but I can't rule it out.

There's a huge Armenian community in Glendale.
