Unmarked cabinet plates.

    Generic Japan patterned ware, very likely from Staffordshire, late 19th century. Unlikely you will ever be able to identify the maker :( - so many records lost to time from this period unfortunately. The only chance is finding the same pattern with a makers mark. Search (English or Staffordshire) imari, japan, cigar, (pattern), derby copy etc.

    Okay thanks. I've burnt out Google image search. Maybe some key word bashing is the way forward.

    It looks like a Cake Plate (with built in handles) and would be about the right size as well. A lot of sets were made that included cake plate, tea cups and saucers and dessert plates.
