Antique Enamelled brooch, what does the number mark mean?

I wonder what does the number on this brooch stands for?
Bought few of them with the description “antique enamelled brooches”, I wonder how old is it and what style would it define it. The rest don’t have a number on the back.

It looks like a registration number.

 

That's a British design registration number. Looks like it's in the range of numbers for 1917 (assuming I'm seeing those tiny numbers properly.)

 

BTW, the number assigned to the design remains the same regardless of when the individual pin was actually made. So the 1917 date is the earliest it could have been made.

 

I had a problem reading them but thought 6530 etc, which would be 1916, but what's another year.

 

Since clicking on Simona's picture does not expand, it's hard to say.

653056 is the number and it starts with a letter either P or R then something like a O with a line under

 

I'm sorry to say I have no information on searching the number, but I'm sure some savvy members in the UK probably do.

R2653056....I blew it up on-screen, and yes, I suppose it could be a different number.............

What lookes like a 2 is actually a small underlined D, something like this: RD

 

That’s right, I’ve seen it as a O with a line under, but it makes sense, it is D with a line under.

 

Yup, it's Rd, not R2.
