Joined this forum a few years ago, and then promptly forgot.

    I joined when this forum first started, read a few threads, and then for some reason simply forgot to continue.

    A few weeks ago I remembered Antiquers and so I came back , signed in (hadn't forgotten my password!) and started reading the jewelry forum and found it so interesting.

    I belong to the Ebay Jewelry Board Group, and recognize quite a few names from there, and also from the old Ebay Jewelry Board.

    I enjoy and collect antique and vintage silver and jewelry, and although I do sell, it's mainly to support my habit of collecting. I'm not keen on selling but love buying.

    My tastes are eclectic, and I'm very easily distracted, especially jewelry wise. I never stop enjoying it though and it's a wonderful obsession.

    Glad to be here and looking forward to staying around this time.

    That's just how I am with my vintage clothing/textile collection. It's a good thing that I have a basement! :rolleyes:

    Welcome back! :) For me, I'm the exact opposite-- I love buying and I love selling, too, because I don't have the confidence to rock antique jewelry. (Although in the future I plan to buy a shirt to wear my Victorian cuff links with).

    Oh, I also buy gold jewelry, but often the price is a bit too high and now everyone weighs and tests.

    Sometimes I'm lucky and will find a sleeper.

    Sleepers are getting harder to find but oh, the thrill when it happens.

    Welcome back, @Arlene_V ! I recognize your name from the eBay boards. I still occasionally go there but don't stay long. The Jewelry & Gemstones Board group is one of the very few there that is still very active.

    This Antiquers site can be very habit forming... ;)

    I see that there are a few bug jewelry collectors here. Now I don't have a lot of bug jewelry unfortunately but when i find a good piece at a good price ...

    I'm going to try to post a pic so here goes.

    Arlene, I used to own one (bug pin) that you would have hated! Truly! It was a life-sized Daddy-Long-Legs, with silver appendages, and an enormous (think playing marble) body made of a raucous turquoise!
