To submit some pictures of an icon which I has at workshop years ago, what did you think it is ?
The pictures are not very good, made in 2006 on film and scanned years ago but they are readable in my opinion.
This is just to open a discussion, nothing more, an intellectual aspect only to be totally clear when my translation will be misinterpreted.

The marks don't look Soviet era to me, but I suppose it doesn't have to be Russian.

They are supposed to be pre-Soviet Russian, 1893, Moscow, 84 zolotniki, a 'worn' assayer's mark and a 'worn' maker's mark. But they don't look like the real deal.

Probably Russian made, but much more recently.

...and is that a copper spot coming through under the silver mark?

    I thought so too.
There seems to be a reddish light on the entire riza (metal cover), so it could be a reflection of something. But there seems to be a verdigris-ish ring around it as well.:confused:

The dot underneath the mark looks like a spot where silver plating wore through.

It's a little bit too easy after the other post:angelic:, the red mark is where I test the thickness of the plating, but as it's made by electrolysis technique, all is original excepted it's a positive copy of an existing icon.
About the hallmark, it's totally right but on the original, compre it with another, what do you think
