New Member and New to Antique Collecting

Good Day and Thank You for allowing me to join your group. I'm Doug, recently retired from 22 years on active-duty USAF and am looking to retiring from US federal govt service in a couple years. Just started looking for possible hobby / small source of income and since I live in the DC / N Virginia area decided to collect antiques. Have recently bought a couple items at a sale and was hoping that I could run them by you intelligent and knowledgeable folks to let me know what they might be, timeframe, and possible value.
