Hi all. I posted a thread in general forums and was advised to try here. Firstly my name is Steve. I've recently come into possession of a lovely blue and white plate/platter but do not know the Makers mark. I'm looking for help please. The plate says made in England and looks to have the number 10 engraved on it too. There's a green circle which I assume is a makers identification but not sure. Even under magnifying glass I can't make out any writing, so hoping someone may have seen the mark before? I'll upload photos and look forward to any replies. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

It's a 1930s in style version of earlier blue and white transferware. I can't make out that green mark either, but it might be someone like Colclough or Burleigh.

"Made In" implies it was made for export.
US law required the "Made In" for all imports after 1921.

It doesn't imply for export, it was standard marking here, regardless of McKinley.

The date clue on that image, by the way, is the almost Clarice Cliff look to the trees - very Art Deco.

Maybe try to photo the green mark again, much closer.

Do you have a Macro setting on your camera or phone for a better close-up??

Hi Steve! Is that an impressed mark on the right, fifth photo or is that the 10 you mention? Sort of looks like a "D".

Does look like a modified Chinese landscape/blue willow pattern. How big is it? Vegetable platter? Probably one of the Staffordshire potteries and anywhere for 1920s on up, I reckon.
