    hi friends

found this in an antiquey type shop yesterday for £3

something i like about it, has a real authentic look about it, i thought anyway

cant be that old though given the clothing

has a few chips on the pot, and other aging marks, that strangely add to the look

    measures 6 3/4 inches

not sure if thats a worn signature on base or not

any thoughts on age, origin, and comments appreciated

    That's very helpful, thanks Aj

Strange but I don't think I would have bought those other 2 examples, not saying they are bad, but there's something more honest about this one ?

I agree. Yours has more individuality, he looks soft-spoken and wise.

Beautiful. “More real” for sure, at least in that there’s real personality there, rather than being stylized. That certainly has its own beauty, but I absolutely love it when an artist makes a chunk of stone come alive.

    Thanks obb

Picked it up straight away, boom

Then after walking around the shop, thought do I really want it ? And put it back down again

But the big sad eyes, and crumpled forehead made me pick it right back up again, boom
