    I sold a similar beaded stick/club umpteen years ago that I believe was Maasai. Yours is a little different but I'm guessing might also be an African club.

    Yes I would think from South Africa.Symbolising traditional african (Zulu or Xhosa) weapons. Beaded knobkerrie and beaded short jabbing or hand spear.

    Well I did see this kind of beautifully beaded items when I visited South Africa recently. We went to a place where beaded items were made by artisans. I took some photos of some of the big full size pieces.

    Thanks most much folks. I think mine are slightly older, as in maybe 70s from the wear on them.

    There's some amazing beadworkers in SA.
