Mystery Leather Briefcase

    Hi all,

    Another mystery item for you! This leather briefcase, owned by George Marshall, was found in our attic and we're not sure what it was used for. As you can see in the pics, it has remnants of stitches which could have once held ribbon or something to hold something in place. You can also see what looks like a sheath and a loop that's closed with a button.

    Any guesses? Thanks!

    Maybe to hold envelopes, sheets of paper and note cards in place.

    missing it's interior stuffing, it's hard to say how such a layout of contents would have looked..
