I don't know where to post this. Pig is 3 1/2" long and stands 1 7/8" tall. Is this jade?

Many different stones are called jade. Don't know what stone it is.

I do think it is fairly recent.
Notice the lack of detail in the face.

Not a clue. It wants to be, but I'm not expert enough to be certain.

It is one of those non-jade stones, my memory is blank at the moment.

Could this be prehnite or epidote?

No, I think the term I was looking for is serpentine jade, a serpentine which looks a bit like jade. It can also have those darker blotches.

i think that's not jade, maybe kind of aventurine, sometime or mostly aventurine stone were used as subtitute for jade, and branded as "jade",mostly this kind of "jade" statue were made in india or china, since this is pig,it could be china then

Aventurine has tiny sparkles from other mineral inclusions.

Serpentine and the like can be dyed to resemble jade even more. Aventurine this isn't.
