It's supposed to look like brass or maybe bronze. What's the bottom like? The copyright symbol suggests modern & mass produced. Last bit could be TAKE?

Goldilocks asks: for its size, is it very heavy, very light or just right? When you first touch it, does it feel cool enough to be metal? Warm enough to be wood? About right for plaster?

    How big is it?

    How big is it?

    How big is it?

It has the look, to me, of a roof tile.

Bronwen it measures 11 3/4 in long and 10 1/2 in tall. Its a little cold but not much. It could be because i have it down in my basement and the air is a little cooler down there than upstairs. I weighed it on my scale and it weighs 6 pounds. When i tap on the neck part of the dragon with my finger nail it has like a hollow sounds but i did the same on the tail part and it didnt sound like that.

Here & there in the photos, there are places that are coming across as absolutely white. My feeling, from info available, is that it is molded plaster or some sort of chalk ware.

Yeah I think it could be plaster. I just wish half the name wasn't rubbed off

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Do you think there is enough of the rubbed off part for it to be able to show if you put a piece of paper over it and rubbed across the paper with a pencil? Looks like there might be too much gone for that, but sometimes you can get some idea of the lettering through that method.
