Love their wacky exuberance and execution.Authentication would probably have to be determined by an acknowledged expert, possibly using scientific methods.
The plexiglass mount & glue or silicone look touristy, but who knows ?
The level of skill & detail modern Chinese craftsmen employ reproducing historical pieces can vary from the ridiculous to perfection.
Historical forgeries abound in China and are an art form unto themselves.
If cheap,I'd buy them, I like the composition & execution that much.If expensive and much of their value hinges on their antiquity-I'd get a consultation.

I was trying to figure out how to mount my collection of arrowheads more attractively than in a Riker Case-silicone prob aint the way to go.Many points are made from beautiful semi-precious minerals & would look great in a light box-but no glue.

PS-Just googed prices,a huge range-$300 to $4000,most all listed are pretty striking.Don't know if all listings are antique but most are beautifully done-not going to find many of these (old or new) in the dollar bin.

The Etruscans were also into some pretty elaborate roof sculptures. My neighbors put some pretty striking stuff on their roofs during the holidays-much of it glows. Some of this stuff will probably show up in a paranormal or UFO 'documentary'. Etruscan Rf.jpg ROOF.jpg
