I couldn’t gain good access to get good photos...it weighs a ton and there’s a lot of heavy stuff on/around it. It’s probably around 7 ft long, pretty grimy so I couldn’t tell you what it’s made of...maybe oak since it’s a utilitarian type thing. I’m guessing it may have been used in some sort of public space.
I’d anyone has any clues and or can tell me what to look for I can probably move some stuff around and get some better photos in the next week or so. I don’t have any origin/history or story on this one.
    Thanks!

That looks like a pretty typical garden or park bench to me. Early 20th or so. Bit of a clean and some teak oil would bring it up nicely.

    Hi Komokwa,
I so wanted to be on this jury. It was about true Meissen china which had been in storage for 75 years and then when the vault was opened there was over 100 pieces missing. I was so excited I almost lost my voice.. Any way I got chosen we were going to trial in three days. I showed up an hour early for the trial. Much to my disappointment, the original judge got sick and a new one was appointed. I had to disqualify myself since I was friends with the new judge.:oops::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops:. 40 years later I was called again. A small car accident, I thought I was going to be dismissed since I had been in a bad accident and working in the hospital. When it was time for me to be interviewed by the lawyers. I spoke up and started to rise out of my chair to go back to the waiting room. The judge said wait a minute and he held a conference with the two lawyers. They talked for several minutes. The judge said I was added to the jury.:eek::eek::eek::eek:. It seems that both lawyers wanted me on the jury. I was stunned. So there I was with 10 women and another man. Again the others heard the same story about the accident. They said, the poor man should get a lot of money. I said WHAT, his witness was 175 feet away from the accident and only turned around when he heard the crash. Any way when I told the rest of the jury what I thought really happened, they all said I guess you are right and it was his fault. The guy lost. If I had not been there they would have given him scads of money. The system should have better guide lines.

Same here. One witness who didn't see anything by his own admission? I'm surprised it didn't get thrown out of court.

Have served on jury duty several times - all for murder trials. Thought sure I'd be dismissed since I was your typical 'wasp'. 2 Guilty, 1 Not Guilty by reason of insanity.

Classic commercial furniture first designed about 1900 but made for decades. Often found in courthouses but used other places as well. Often found in oak but this one looks more like birch or maple. A look at the seat might confirm.
