    hi folks

thought be fun to share todays wins before i pick um up tomoz. everything came to about £45 without fees for 7 items, low priced items so fees will be small, most around £5

pics are brightened, as the pics they give are quite dark

    no sizes ever given

    any thoughts on items appreciated

Thanks mate, it's got nothing to do with the fact that the auction house is next to a McDonalds and a drinks warehouse that I keep buying from them

I like to combine all three

Special Monday I call it :)

Will get better pics after I get them, but any idea what the fabric panel from peru might be ?

They're typically framed in silver. Here's another example.

Even I had one for a while. Then I found out what the fabric could have come from and unloaded it.

Grave goods at least. Fabric was all done by hand, soup to nuts, so it wasn't cheap.

Very happy with all apart from the jet, not jet at all, and my head went down

I'm like that though, one little failure and everything is black (jet black), which is absolutely stupid and irrational with the things I won for such cheap prices !!

Phenolic resin aka faux amber. Most likely from Yemen.

The Qajar dynasty charger is a good one.:)
It is very pretty. Nothing wrong with French jet, except when it is sold as real jet. When 'jet' is very shiny, there is a 90% chance it is glass.

You'd be amazed how fabric lasts. Millennia old in Egypt. Flax and all that.

Thanks AJ, I take everything they say with a pinch of salt, just a gamble really

Necklace tests as bakelite type, thought it was, and not Amber, as stated, but that's all cool;)

Thought the goblet was Indian but not so sure know, it's really nice, more renaissance style decoration, will gets some more pics tomoz.

Yeah the charger looks right to me too quite large 13" diameter

Will add some new pics to this thread tomoz

Yeah I'm amazed by that obb, and they can still look quite fresh by examples I've seen

    Will post some pics tomorrow

It doesn't look like a framed piece as stated, more like the top off a box

    Little blue pots are tiny

    1 inch in size

Not 100% sure what they are supposed to be, ink pots ?

Had a bit of a nightmare over the weekend

My young niece found an old thermometer I had took it out of the casing and threw it to one side and it smashed leaking the mercury inside all over the floor :jawdrop::hungover::hungover:
