I picked this up at a local thrift a few weeks back, but need some help.

The sticker on the back leads me to believe it may be 1960's BWDIK. Also could use some help on descriptive words for my title.

It is 32 1/8" top to bottom & is 11 3/8" across the candleholders.

Thanks for any & all advice or opinions!!!:kiss::kiss:

    Hi,
Zip codes came out in 1963. I would still give it house room for candles. I think it is beautiful.

Peggy, based on that label, I'm thinking late 1950's/early 1960's.

The building that stands at 3000 Main Street in Dallas was built in 1955.

As Greg has said, zip codes date to 1963. That would be when "Dallas 26" became Dallas zip code 75226.

Just supposing, of course, but this seems to date that label between 1955 & 1963.

    Thanks!! :kiss::kiss::kiss:

It just looks so bright as far as the paint job. Maybe someone recently repainted it.:confused:

Would I be accurate in labeling this Hollywood Regency?

I don't know. I don't see anything particularly religious in the design. BWDIK :happy:

While it might fit as a buzz-word to get some people looking, this is a reproduction of a circa 1880 sconce. I am having trouble pinning down the style. Maybe Renaissance Revival or Italianate. Might just best be termed Victorian.

I know someone out there is going to love this piece & since I only paid $3.00 it won't hurt too bad if they do not. ;):D:D:D

@gregsglass - I think it looks very good there.:happy::happy:

I will have to disagree with you about Tony though. He does not look at all happy about being included in this photo or he thinks it should be hung in another spot. ;) :D:D

    Hi,
These three cats are untrained, it's the fault of the other half. I always trained my cats NOT to get on the dining room table and countertops in the kitchen. Otherwise they have the run of the house. The other half was so upset with the tiny one's passing she said "do not punish them I can not stand the thought of them being yelled at." Thus no training.:oops::oops::oops::oops:

    Hi Komokwa,
I learned the hard way. It is easier to give in than to stand your ground while it's being shoveled away.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
