Featured Still Life Help with Sig - Possible German Artist - Also found a Devil Holding Pitchfork in painting

Thank you for your comments. I am now seeing the painting in a whole new light. I added a close up of the candle stick and the bowl and the mask.

 

It does appear to be a watch with a chain hanging down. I added a better picture. Thank you.

When my daughter comes in a couple weeks I will see if she can capture a professional photo of the sig. She is a great photographer and knows how to remove the sheen.
