Plate painting identification

    Doesn’t look like a commercially produced piece to me. I guess mid to late twentieth century from a minor pottery.

    It says "tozza" on the boat and that bottom sure makes me think Italian.

    Base mark is one of those really stylised ITALY marks. Tin glazed terracotta.

    Does it say "Tozza" or "Tossa?"

    I think it says Fozza.

    Are you thinking Tossa, Catalunya?

    Hm. Rocks look right for Costa Brava, don't they. You've got me torn now, between a bad ITALY mark and someone like Buxo Pais.
