love stool / spinning wheel stool help needed please

    hello i do hope you may be able to help me
    i have been given a small stool which looks old ?
    a small love stool covered with hearts and hundreds
    indentations to be honest it looks like a milking stool
    i thought nothing of it until !
    my brother-in law spotted a image on the chair /stool
    a lady dressed in old cloths possibly with a crown on her head
    and reading too books one has words written on it
    ( YE or YO ) then words we cannot understand then ( JANE )
    the image looks very old
    i have no idea really just guessing
    please can some on enlighten me

    Looks like there is a bit of a back on the stool? Do you have a picture of the whole thing? Sometimes the general shape is helpful.

    Looks like she's sitting on a big bed - I'm not so sure about the "crown" but there's definitely some kind of head-dress. The dark dots that create the border design looks like they were burned into the wood.

    That's a good one, paul. There's a name for this kind of "chair/stool." I don't remember the name, but someone else here will definitely know.

    the more you stare at the image you seem to see more she seems to be wearing very old dress ware 200 + years old are you able to read the book

    Just because she's wearing clothes that look "old" doesn't mean the item itself dates to the same period. No, I could not make out the words.

    Google search on the shape shows that most people are calling it a spinning chair.
    Who know if they are correct, or just parroting what they have heard. :)
