My friend gave me this yesterday, He said me it's from china made from glass, It looks to be hand carved.
If anyone has any idea about , it’s age, material, or origins it would be very helpful!

I believe you use translator. To clarify for the Forum members who don’t realize, I think it should be hand painted, and translated incorrectly. :)

I agree with johnny, nice piece:) Cased glass, handpainted, I think Bohemian. I'm not sure if 'Brides Bowls' was the original term for these, but that is usually how they are sold these days, would fit in a silver-plate stand. Check out Brides Bowls on google to see what I'm talking about:)

Yes many sold with silver plate stand, but i think this is different.
And also want to say that the base on the vessel was drilled. It looks like porcelain under glass

I believe this bowl was free blown and the stuck on a pontile rod to hand work the ruffles and fire the a\painting. When the pontile was broken it left an are the did not allow the bowl to sit flat. Those "bumps" were ground off creating a flat in/indented area. The markings look Bohemian to me.

Sometimes the translator in our head is just as wonky as the internet ones.:wacky: Sometimes half asleep, other times several languages fighting for a prime position, all wanting to sit by the window like little kids.:playful:

Cased glass is when there is an inner layer of opaque glass covered or 'cased' with transparent glass. It looks like there is porcelain inside clear glass, but it is all glass.

Given that pre decimal price label of two shillings and eleven pence - 2/11 - it backs up my thought that it's Stourbridge made. Early 20th C I should think.
