Polynesian Wood Figure

Also, can we narrow down the region of origin?

    first impression is more "dance pose" than warrior, face looking up, so guess for what was in the hands is 'percussion' (rattle; dance sticks) for lots of 'clacking together'. Seems like the kind of thing tourist would want to take home a carving of.

    Great excuse to visit the South Pacific on an expeditionary investigation.

    He's definitely not Polynesian! His clothing (or lack thereof), hair style, body structure, and facial features all indicate Southeast Asia; more specifically, an Igorot hunter or warrior, from the Philippines.

    He was probably carrying a spear and a shield, the two items they are most often associated with in carvings.
