ID marking of a ring that seems to have arabic inscription?

    photo_2022-12-17_13-19-15.jpg Got this ring from my grandmother that sadly passed away a couple of weeks ago. My knowledge is that she got it while travelling around with my grandfather that had a lot of travelling with his business.

    Only thing I believe I can see is the letter "teh" (two dots inside a c like shape)

    Anyone else can help me identify this?

    Edit: This is the only marking that can be found and is on the outside of the ring and not inside

    Could you please show the whole ring? Often it's as big a clue as the marks.

    4 diamon like stones on each side and one square black(?) stone in the middle

    Am sorry you lost your grandmother.
    Could an onyx stone be cut faceted? Or would it be too brittle?

    Thank you all for your comments, I will try to take a better picture to tomorrow. Hopefully it might help finding out what kind of ring it is and where it originally came from

    I use a magnifying glass app on my phone. I like the one with the lighter blue background on the icon. It's free.
