I hope your Hindu friend won't be confused if this is not from his or her tradition. We have often seen on the forum that the same Hindu statue was sold under the names of a range of very different Gods Or Goddesses.
We tend to think Hinduism is one religion, but it is a name for a group of religions which originated in the Indian subcontinent. Some highly philosophical, and not even theist (believing in a divinity) at all, many local folk religions, and a lot of faiths and sects in between.
