    I LOVE everything about it but the pendant :( jmo :)

    If 70s as @Debora says, probably not. Your images can't be enlarged enough to get a good look.

    Let's ask @evelyb30

    Are these travertine, by chance?

    It's not bone, ivory or celluloid...
    For all I know, it's mutton fat jade! Really hard for me to tell from a photo on my phone :)

    @Hollyblue @kyratango ?

    White onyx, I think I see stripes in the disk.
    Is the material translucent when illuminated from behind, if you try a scratch with a needle, what trace is left?

    I agree, 70s.

    Very heavy is puzzling, it would indicate stone. It would have to be a slightly yellowish stone.
    At first glance it looks like bone, which can be striped as well. But the crimping on this bead makes me think some artificial material:

    Resin can be heavy, maybe that is it? I have seen resin beads which were of irregular sizes.
    And then there is the possibility that the beads are made of one material and the focal pendant and ring and toggle closure are made of a different material.

    Absolutely! Beads could be bleached bone, the blood vessels traces now white...

    Could be a Gerda Lynggaard bone necklace

    It certainly looks the general style, but bone isn't very heavy. Then again, very heavy is subjective.:confused:
    Maybe from a big-boned cow? (Not overweight, honestly... :playful:)

    I don't mean heavy like 10lbs but it doesn't feel like a plastic bead necklace.. maybe I'll try and take pictures outside..
