Featured Deco faux coral necklace, Czech glass?

It is very pretty. It could be genuine angel skin coral. Many coral necklaces have non-precious clasps.
You can test it by putting a drop of lemon juice on a bead. If you see bubbles, it is coral. If not, it is glass.

 

Tried white vinegar and lemon juice and there's no reaction. It's colder and feels harder when tapped on teeth than the known real branch coral I have. I've only ever seen the plastic faux branch corals before.

 

Yes, that sounds like glass to me too. Very nice imitation though, and a pretty necklace.

 

Glad it's not just me that loses stuff!. Normally when I've stashed it away from OH's prying eyes!

 

I still can't find the apostrophe key from my previous keyboard. The cats removed it & have hidden it very well. Securing things away from mischievous paws is wise in this house.

 

I had a cat once that stole any gold rings I forgot to put away. When I was vacuum cleaning one day, and I heard a scary rattling sound. She had put everything in one place, her stash. I managed to retrieve them all, no damage.

 

I just found my mother's wedding ring a couple of weeks ago. Pontiac knocked it off the dresser at least 2 years ago. Having failed to find it after crawling around with a flashlight, looking under furniture, I kept waiting for that rattling sound in the vacuum cleaner. Then, delving into some saved padded envelopes in reusable condition, looking for something suitable to use for a 95th birthday present, found the ring inside one. I had looked inside the tote where they're stashed, not inside individual envelopes.

 

You give padded envelopes as presents?

 

It was one of those large silver Mylar ones & he's 95, what more does he want? Seriously, I sent him something my dad, his brother, left to me, a little book their small farming community had made to recognize all the local boys who had served in WWII. They are both in it, and their older brother is right near the front, with the others KIA. I wanted to do my best to keep it protected and make it hard to lose in the mail. Thought the best gift I could give him was memories.

 

At least it is a present you can actually use.
