    Hi guys

This was dirt cheap, and very foxy !!

I got most of the foxing off with bread, which worked well

I think it's one of those painting with an unknown artist, but anyone get a feel for location

    Thanks

I would say somewhere in Asia, possibly Thailand judging by the roof styles and the buildings are raised on stilts suggesting it might flood.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

M Fralik, with TC underneath Fralik...........is what I see.....

EDIT: NOPE.....now I think the "TC" is just a squiggle under the last name.
    No "TC".....my louse eyes......

My model Batak house from Sumatra, Indonesia is also raised, like many houses in Indonesia. It helps against snakes and other beasties you don't want joining your household.

Your houses are not Batak, but there are many types and shapes in Indonesia.

Jivvy the research is my favorite

I see "sralik"... an insight I don't think you will find useful, but it's all I have. ;)

I think M. Frolik. Frolík is originally a Czech name.

I can go either way on the f/s question, but I really do think that's an "a" temp01.jpg

Lovely! Is that some residual foxing up there in the sky, or pointilist brush strokes?

I think you're attracted to these little watercolors - and they to you, @charlie cheswick :)

Thanks mate, it's foxing, but I'll think I'll go with pointilist brush strokes :)
