    Hi All,

Does anyone know the maker of this green pottery low bulb bowl planter. Measures 11-3/4" long by about 6-3/4" wide. About 2-1/2 may 18 2019 022.JPG " tall. Not sure of the shape - have been searching "Cornucopia" with no luck so maybe I am not on the right track.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    TIA
    Kathy

    Hi All,
Just found this white low planter that looks similar to mine, but the size is a little bigger. Seller says it is California Pottery. His is marked with incised/impressed number 266. I thought it might be shaped like a cornucopia but did think of snail shell. Do you have any idea if his id is correct? Would love to hear what you think. Thanks

You are right. I removed that link as it was not a match.

The book, Sebring, Ohio, has a picture of the aftermath of the fire in 1960. The caption says Stanford Art Pottery was sent to other companies to be decorated, and a lot was sold to discount stores. Maybe they didn't always want their name on it?

    Oh, that's a possibility.
