    Have you done a search on the patent? I can't tell if the last number is an 8 or a 6. Which is it?

    It is a remote control for an ID Mic. The remote control was sold separately so that it could be used with your ID mic. Often bores are too deep to be able to reach inside the bore. So you would attach this gem to your ID mic so you could take measurements deeper in the bore. This is the first time I have seen one
