Featured Unusual leaf shape old metal arrow head.... African.....possible...

    komokwa The Truth is out there...!

    Along with my new Keris , my friend offered me the choice of an old arrow head .....I choose the smaller one......but both were made the same.
    It's one I am unfamiliar with ...
    It's scalloped on both sides , but only on half the blade..in opposite directions so as to twist upon impact...maybe.
    it's approx 6 x 3/4 inches.

    The size sounds more spear-ish than arrow-ish. Beyond that ... dunno.

    the 1st couple of inched would be inside the shaft.....so 4 inch spear point would seem a little small...

    Hi,
    Looks very much like my Iranian spear point from 1200 to 550 BC.

    I found an arrowhead a few years ago that turned out to be Persian. The Persian Empire left them all over the place.
