    Where did it come from?
    How big is it?
    Show us the back!

Looks art nouveau. Maybe off a fountain?

size 45 cm wide. back looks like roughcast or plaster. it was on offer as eventually Alexandre Bigot, but it isn't (99.9 % :)).
if it was from a fountain I'd expect a hole somewhere for the waterpipe.
from the glazing it's rather Adrien Dalpayrat.
at the moment it's in the atelier; I try to modify an old frame to hang it on the wall beside my bed.

Googling those names, I see architectural ornament for Bigot, not so much for Dalpayrat, but Dalpayrat does have the glazes. Whoever did it, and for whatever reason, it looks darn good. Must be quite heavy.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Looks like someone took a casting of someone lying under a wrinkled/or nicely arrayed sheet! VERY nice!!! Love the colors too!!

lighter as expected :). Bigot was much more into architectural items, that's true. for those that are interested, google castel beranger:

especially the entrance hall leaves you flabbergasted; try to get a glimpse when you're in Paris next time; in the olden days (yes i know, when we were crisper ) the people let us in when coming home for a moment; but sadly those days are over.
Dalpayrat was much more a chemist that tried out different elements for glaze effects; besides that he worked more for individual artists than Bigot who really had a small industry with artists working for him on contract.

The veiled face motif is common enough in sculpture, and not particularly emphasized in this example, which is what made me think some sort a water effect might have been intended.
