Hi everyone - I have three vases with this mark im hoping someone can identify. This white/terracotta brown/black vase is glazed with 3 sea turtles on the front.
The 2 others have what look like stylized symbols of birds, people, maybe buildings and more and are not glazed and in brown/white only. THANKS!

Can you post pictures of the whole piece or of all the pieces? That makes it easier.

It looks like there may be letters in the mark. Can you read any of them?

Hi - here are the three pieces - 2 cropped due to size size. And yes, it looks like there is a J, an A and a W (or possibly just J M) after the opaque blob (an errant glazed drop.) Thank you! FEC4BE30-2D5D-4214-8FE3-90E54772D494.jpeg 18F48297-FE5A-4E41-9309-9914357738E4.jpeg

@Potteryplease is right...does look like some letters there, but I also don't think I was able to make it much clearer.....thought I had a signature but on enlarging, it just appeared to be 'squiggles'.........enlarged 2X, inverted..... what looks like a sideways 'H' on the left---wondering if it could be something like a llama..........?

That’s a great enlargement - thanks!! Llama, yes… and I’m also seeing an elephant head little guy carrying a old fashioned gangster’s gun case—haha. Think I’ve spent too much time on this…off to take down Xmas decorations!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Well, a llama would suggest South America somewhere, I think.

    Welcome to Antiquers, @annemacrae58 !
