i picked this mortar up cheap( .99) at a Goodwill in Arizona a few years ago Unfortunately no pestle. 4" wide x 3.75" tall. Worn in bottom. Heavy for size. Google lens just gives me wooden ones. Any info would be welcome. Thanks.

Thank you Roaring20s. I have had Niloak pieces before but not with a glaze or this heavy. You are probably right.

My gut tells me it has some age to it. Como-craft was made with some cement in the clay. This piece is heavy like that but still not a good match.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Is your final photo showing the bottom, or does it have a lid? I was going to mention that it would be good to show the bottom of it, but maybe you already have.

no lid that is the bottom. It is the prettiest part.

I thought so, too! Seems odd to have the underside be so nicely done.
