    Thinking that that the "bus stop" group might have been made for use in a model train layout... just a guess...

    Probably correct. The level of detail though is above the average which made me think someone may recognise it.

    Thanks, KSW. We barely dabble in the hobby any longer, but we have figures equally detailed (but individual figures only, not molded in groups) from our days of more serious involvement in model railroading.

    the crib could be German. there were two major players; Elastolin and Lineol. sometimes the form of the groundplate gives an indication of which company the item is.
