That whole house could've been ozoned before anyone entered it to go through stuff. Even the mice would be dead.

    Greg,
one of my past boxer dogs was allergic to wasps. he got 4 stings on his hind leg and collapsed immediately with a
    anaphylactic reaction or anaphylaxis.
I managed to get him to the vets in time for a shot.
The vet said if he got another he would die.
I took him to Australia and he used to catch and eat the toxic spiders without a problem.

    Hi Komokwa,
I can laugh about now that it is over. I literally grabbed the bag and started pawing through it since I could not breathe but gulping air. He started to open the bag and look when I seized the bag off him and started digging and looking for the stuff I needed. It looked like he had not opened the bag for many years. I was in such a state knowing the stuff was probably outdated but I found what I needed.
I gave myself two injections and let him give me two more in a few minutes. The lady in the window seat next to me almost had a stoke. Her eyes were the size of silver dollars and when I blew up to three times my size and she could get out. I hoped she would just faint and be still but no she had to see my bad behavior up close. She kept saying Oh God over and over again I thought she was having an orgasm. Sorry about that.

Oh, geez, I wouldn't last two minutes in that place.... too many allergies. I used to see an allergist for regular shots, but every single thing he tested me for I was allergic to, and the shots just didn't help much, so we stopped. I have to be really careful, and some places I walk in and walk out of... good luck treasure hunting, I love what I see! And I told the allergist he thought I was bad, he should meet my brother with the epi pen- he just laughed out loud.

I will see it is documented. As a teaser there is a locked Victorian cashbox with some unknown something in it.

Maybe a big wad of cash? The old man had more than £30,000 in the bank when he died. Time will tell.

It was the prospect of this job that promoted the Great Shed Cleanup, last year. I had no idea it could possibly take so long with the lawyers. Naive, I suppose.
I'd really like to keep this library bookcase, but She Who Must Be Obeyed decrees it is too big for the only place in the house with room for it.

and here is a seriously chunky and out of fashion Victorian chest of drawers I can't keep.

I love the library bookcase and it would go wonderfully in my living room. I even have the perfect place for it! Sure wish I could just drive over to take a look...

That tall bit with the clocks is killer. I think you need to ply the wife with jewelry and beg nicely.(LOL) The dresser of course needs to be checked for treasure. It's a nice piece but it would be a tough sell here. BTW - are those swords real or repro?

The swords are real and one is a fine late 18th. C. smallsword, possibly French

But it seems that between my first look and second look, the four swords and two antique air rifles had been allegedly removed by the police on instructions from the solicitors in case the place was burgled and the local youth got their hands on them.

In theory they can be reclaimed from the police, but no-one seems to know exactly which police, and where they are. Some detective work for me there, which will also include the reported 4 pistols removed from the house when the body was first found and that no one seems to have seen. I fear the beat cops dealing with the case would not know that percussion pinfire and obsolete rimfire round caliber pistols are all legal to possess with no formality, and they just seized them because they were gun shaped. More to detect and the lapse of a year does not make it easier.

I really hate the idea of fine antiques being destroyed by the police in their ignorance, especially as they might mean a good deal of money for me if I can get hold of them.:)

afantiques, awesome finds so far. I have never did a buyout before looks interesting.

Greg I'm so sorry you had to go through that and are allergic to them. I know I hate them myself, but can't say that I can ever remember getting stung. (I'm not much of an outdoors fanatic anyway)

We are getting ready to look at a several homes that one of our clients have purchased recently........He says he trusts us to let him know if its junk or something worth while, which makes us feel pretty good but a bit uneasy some of these homes have been closed up for a few years and were foreclosed on.
Afantiques good luck and blessings for your hunting.
