The more I look at this, the more I think it's a newer piece. I don't see a signature anywhere. The cutting looks pretty nice, and it's a hefty crystal.

I guess I'm hoping for some keyword help / advice on the best way to list this. I thought this was called an arrowhead shape, but the ones I see listed as arrowhead are more triangular. I've searched every variation of "intaglio rose" I can think of.

Would I be better off making a fancy spear with it, instead of trying to find someone who needs a replacement stopper? ;)

It's 5-5/8" long, 2-5/8" at the widest. Thanks!

    Thank you!

That one did not show up in my search for "perfume bottle rose". I thought eBay was supposed to fix it so that plurals of words were included in the results (rose and roseS)?

I wonder since mine doesn't have the dauber, if it might be from a different bottle from a set of this pattern. EDIT: Or maybe the dauber piece should be glued onto the bottom of the neck.

Anyway - thanks again for finding that.

UncleChuckTX, Regardless that there's no bottle to go with, your light blue one is, to me, simply STUNNING!!!!! LOVE that color!!!:):):):)

Ah - that one says that the dauber became detached inside the bottle. Perhaps they were glued on somehow.

    I appreciate the help.

A lot us jukies have dauberless bottles & stoppers waitig for thier bottle to show up hanging around our house. ;):rolleyes::rolleyes: :eek: :D:D:D

When you list it make sure you give the approximate measurement of the portion that goes into the bottle. Although I have several times bought one just because I liked it & that is how I end up with stoppers waiting for their bottles. :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Bottom line, you might be surprised because I am not the only perfume bottle addict out there because if I was I wouldn't have lost that bidding war earlier this week. ;):eek::oops::oops::rolleyes::rolleyes::p:p :D:D:D

Thanks for the reply, and sorry about your bidding war loss!

It's strange that I don't find many listed spare stoppers, either active or completed. Or maybe that's a good thing - less competition. We'll see, I guess.

    Thanks again.

    You are very welcome!! :kiss::kiss:

When I saw it last night I thought it loked a little familiar, but the DH had already gone to bed so I could not check out the cabinet. I just now looked & sure enough I have this stopper on a large blue bottle. My stopper is the same size as yours & it is on a bottle that is a little over 4" tall.

I also forgot to say this type of stopper is referred to as a "tiara stopper" & it is most likely Czech but a little later than the one I have since mine does have the remnant of the skinny dauber. However, collectors do not worry too much if the dauber is intact. If it is there that's great, but if it isn't oh well they are so easily damaged & once the stopper is in place you usually can't tell if there is one there or not.

They are often listed as part of of a lot of misc. bottles & stoppers. List it in the collectible -- vanity -- perfume -- decorative glass & crystal.

Let me know when it is listed. :D:D:D

Thank you for saying that, Peggy! It drives me CRAZY when I see a stopper that I might like to use, and the seller shows how tall it is, but says absolutely NOTHING about how big the "business end" is!

When trying to match a "spare" stopper with a stopperless bottle, it's essential to know up front if it has even a chance of fitting!

Wow - thanks for taking the photo. About the daubers - were they made separately and attached to the stoppers (either hot-fused or glued)? On the bottom tip of mine, you can see scuff marks where it's been ground flat, but you can also see smooth glass at the edges. That makes me think it must be a 2-piece design.

I'm just curious, really. It's nice to know that collector's don't mind the broken daubers as much. And I'm amazed at how many bottle variations I've seen for this stopper.

    Thanks again!

Yes they use to mix & match any number of bottles & stoppers. It may have happened when they would run out of one before the other, but than again it may have been just a whimsy sort of thing where the workers decided to mix & match.

I will have to take a photo of just the stopper later today. I am not sure about the process, but looking at a samapling of my bottles some look to be possibly fused & some look like they may have been possibly part of the original mold. I will get some photos of some of the different stoppers later today.:happy:

First off there is the matter of the 4 boxes that have to be on the porch waiting for the mailman later this afternoon. :p:p:p:eek::eek::D:D
