    I know the scarab is real, but not a lot more. They do look evil eye, don't they. I'd assumed Egyptian.

    Well, the way yours are paired with a scarab and what I'm guessing are eyes, I'm leaning towards glass hamsas instead of sweaters. ;) Will have to see if there were such things.

    I do tend to find things I've no memory of buying. I think they warp in from another dimension. Like homing aliens.

    Hamsa had NOT ocurred to me. Excellent thought, as is trying a UV on them.
