Pulled the ballerinas off eBay. Obviously I have been away so long that I don't recognize the place anymore, or it doesn't recognize me, LOL! Shall try elsewhere at another time. Also, I gather mid-summer may still be considered the selling doldrums time... Oh well, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Wait! I have gained something: 2 more pieces of china to add to the hoard, er, stuff in my basement.

 

Wait until the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to relist- best time.

Some gorgeous stuff lately,especially the lavender jade ! Wow ! A few things I picked up recently,it was the 1st time Id been out in a while,I was JONESIN ! Loving the vases and the stained glass (real glass!)

I like the enamel .
Reminds me of stuff I did at summer camp.....but it's a lot larger.

 

Its by Cardin,and they are enamel on copper. I had a couple before I gave to a friend and always wanted another one (a regret gift indeed). They seem to sell pretty well,but that's not why I buy so...

 

AH! YES! Copper! Now I recall these 'pictures'!!!
I still see them here and there. Hmmm...
I do like the 'Wright' like stained glass too.

Love the enamel piece; I've sold some of the makings on Ebay before now, but not a finished piece. Found some of the colors in an estate sale a few months back. Those went to another shopper who had bought some copper blanks, and ran back inside like a shot when I told her where to find the glass bits. Apparently there are still some people doing it.

This tiny locket came from a local junque dealer - tiny, but double-hallmarked 14k. Got it in a trade.

Love the vases. I really like the color play in that painting, too. The locket is sweet, and Superman rocks!!!! He is my favorite super hero- loved reading his comics in the 60s growing up.

 

Found yesterday at a thrift. I don't think they realized the meaning of 925/1000. It cost a whopping $4.90. Researched it at home - it was made between 1896 and 1914 and weighs 21.6 ounces.

 

Beautiful tray, and what a great deal.
