I got a brass bed the other day, and I can see there is a makers mark, but it is so worn I can't really make it out. If anyone could solve this mystery I'd appreciate it!

The good news is that it really does not matter one way or the other. It will sell or be useful for what it is, not who made it.

OMG! I just borrowed one of this exact style for a boudoir shoot for a friend.
I doubt it is marked but if anywhere I should think it would be stamped on the rails and their mates on the head and foot boards.

I used a pencil and paper and went over it. I put in the pics. It's something Co.

Sorry I missed that. I've tried variations on J S but only found a JS&S that doesn't appear to have made beds.
I will try to go look at that bed today and see if there is a better stamp on it.
Did you look for more stamps on all 4 iron parts?

Yeah. That's the best I could find. It's real faint.

Can you post a picture of yours? Where are you located? I'm in Michigan.

Not mine, borrowed it. I'm dang certain it is the same except possibly wider.
If I can go by the store I will.
I do not think these are rare for I've had a few of them. If it is perfect, no dings, scratches and all parts there it could be worth more. $100 is asked for the one I borrowed but it is only worth scrap or maybe $25 because it has a number of issues.
    Many have gone into gardens.

I am with AF on this one. Really doesn't matter who made it. Most of these companies are lost to history.
