Thanks, I was thinking 70s or 80s with the long chain. There’s definitely an unreadable punch mark on the bale and a 925 on the chain catch, I don’t know what metal they used to make it goldtone though. (I wondered why the tag to you didn’t change colour)

I've some made the same way, and have seen others. The design is shaker, but I think they're commercial.

I've been meaning to share this crazy find. It's a 12" x 9" x 5" handmade wooden box that looks pretty Dia de los Muertos. There's a little metal crank on the lower right outside of the box...

When you open the box it's a group of six skeletons around an open coffin, which also has a skeleton in it:

...And when you turn the crank, all the arms of legs of the bystanders raise up, and then the dead person sits up! It's alive!!

I've found one other online that identified it as a "Oaxacan Skelton Box" and that one was made by someone named Felix Gomez in the 1980s.

Anyway, I think it's good fun.

Yeah! I love thinking of the guy who made it, spending time and perhaps chuckling to himself as he cut all the pieces and installed the pulleys etc.

went to an estate sale this morning, found some silver:) The flatware was in a bag of silver-plate flatware for $5, the spoons were in a bag with about 40 souvenir spoons for $8.00. Will also post in the silver section because I have some questions:)

I have been crazy busy at work. Midyear tests, an observation coming up...and in charge of creating a Barbie basket for a PTA auction night. I have a lot of just okay jewelry to photograph, way behind. Splurged on a 14k emerald-eyed lion ring... at an antique show yesterday (funny stories from there.) But my most favorite find is this near-pristine Fashion Queen Barbie. She came with three wigs and was my most favorite childhood Barbie. She came with a longer-haired Blond wig from another set some little girl cut, so I updated her look. She was $25 and filthy at a thrift store, still need to clean a bit more after photos showed I need to.
