Looks to me like a Chinese guardian dog or lion of some sort. The format makes me think it's a roof tile, but I can't tell old or new. How big is it?

sancai glaze - usually see roof tiles that are curved but I guess it could be a roof finial?

Foo Dog with perhaps a Chinese Puzzle ball on back.

I don't know enough about this to be certain (only have a thought on this because of embroidery) -- but it looks like this guy has hooves, and I think that makes him Qilin.

Don't trust me on the topic.

I'm with Jivvy, possibly a Qilin. Or other Chinese mythical animal with hooves. The vessel on its back is probably for incense.
Three coloured glaze, so sancai, as Laura said.

That super clean base suggests a recent/modern reproduction. Chinese.

I wouldn't call it reproduction. It is an ongoing tradition imo. Recent, yes.

It is not so big. Height from base to ear is 22cm. Length from tail to mouth is 24cm. and the weight is 2224 gram.
