My phantom mini milk bottle listing 'returns'! Can anyone help identify it?

Hi! I've not a clue what happened to this listing which I thought I put in the 'Finds' thread. Thanks to those who tried to help resurrect it!

It reads>
M is for MORNING wake up!
M is for MOTHER the best!
M is for MILK yes please!
The main words are in a banner.
It is 5-1/4" tall.
Under the M for Mother it states; MADE IN ENGLAND also in green.
The raised info around the bottom> 6 - 189ml - 15mm - (a reversed curved) E - R2 - two U shapes tucked into each other vertically - 1581 - then a bunch of raised dots which are likely to be time/date info.
While all the paint/transfer is in great shape the rubbing around the base, about 1/2" up, appears to be from reuse.

Can anyone tell me exactly where it was made/bottled, its age, and if you've a mind to offer value that would be a bonus.

It seems neither know the age of it but it does seem that these aren't an alphabetical series.

 

When I was growing up, that size bottle was for cream.

If I had to guess I would say 1940s-1960s. Scroll down the following page to the 3th pic. I is of a 1940s English school room with student drinking from such size bottle.

I believe I had such bottles of milk at school in Massachusetts in the 1940s and probably into the 1950s.

Yes, but, if memory serves, I remember having to scoop cream from the top of pasteurized milk bottles. With homogenized milk, there wasn't cream at the top - I thinkkkk. My knowledge of milk is limited!

This one (and those other 2) is in pretty great condition so I wonder if they were just kept because they were so nice.

 

in kindergarden we were served little bottles of milk.....maybe a tad larger....but not by much for small hands to grab....

 

We were expected to rumble at any moment so we had cartons.

 

I remember finishing off anyone's milk who handed it to me....

 

I was in kindergarden !!!!!!!..........& I was thirsty !!!

 

We had these bottles of milk when I was in grade school in the 1950s (without all the Ms). Our supply was from a local dairy, plain bottles. They were in a machine and you put your money in and the machine allowed you to extract one bottle. A good day was when my mother allowed me to select chocolate milk. She wasn't at the school so couldn't have known what I picked, but I wouldn't have dreamed of disobeying. I was pretty sure she would find out somehow. After lunch, the bottles were picked up and returned to the dairy for reuse. A "pintie" - I like that.

 

Not for cream. I'm a bit dubious about this having any age. It's metric, and we really didn't go in for that over much till, oh, the late 70s/early 80s. School milk bottles were plain and in Imperial sizes, not metric. It's a third of a British pint, which is about the right size for school milk, though. School milk was abolished in the 70s here - I think this thing is one of those retro ironic things, made then or a bit after. They still sometimes get used to serve milk in trendy restaurants.
