indeed.....& I'm the one who advised him to get it out of the Gallery...and post on the Forum....but not twice.
I also told him it's a WW1 fuse.....which he seems not to concur with !
Kronos & Saber also confirmed ...fuse...... but alas...to no avail...!

    Must be a language barrier......

There's no sign on the original thread that he ever looked at replies. May have, but not acknowledged in any way. Perhaps now just trying to rectify post for technical issues, not out of disagreement.

I don't think it is a language barrier. . .his English is spot-on except for a typo.

did you look at his pics in the Gallery?

    "komokwa .. c'mon post it.....
    oh, well...
It looks like the tip of a WW1 artillery shell...."

    and his 1st post here.......

" Not sure if this is a surveyor's tool or a component belonging to an artillery shell."

he read what I wrote ....but didn't believe me !

I agree. I remember being a new member and not knowing the protocols. It was sweet of @komokwa to encourage him to get his photos out of the gallery. He clearly wants help, so lets help him muddle through the process.

You're the one who always checks the gallery (where many newbies lose their way), kudos to you for that.:)

And you're right, you said it, Kronos and sabre agreed, and now spring too.
Some people just want as many identifications as possible, I hope this is enough for gr_ to feel comfortable with the identification.
