Odd Japanese Print On Fabric ?

    There was a note on the back of this picture that said 1937 wedding gift. Japanese print on velvet. The background fabric looks like some type of silk? faille. The images all have a raised soft texture to them, flocked? Anyone know what this type of print is called and would it be worth framing. It is one of a pair.

    I had a tiger on velvet......once.....it was blacklight too !
